Aggreko has launched three Tier 4 Final diesel generators developed for remote Canadian work sites, expanding its Canadian fleet with 145 kW, 210 kW and 1,200 kW models. The units are configured to Canadian market and regulatory requirements and will be offered exclusively to Canadian contractors, the company said.
The 145 kW and 210 kW sets are canopy units intended for rapid deployment and immediate power needs. The 1,200 kW unit is aimed at large industrial loads. Aggreko says the units draw on its latest technologies to supply reliable, low-emissions power for commercial and industrial applications. All three are CSA and UN31A compliant, according to Aggreko, covering electrical and fuel regulations in Canada.
Onboard 600V output
Aggreko says the 1,200 kW model's notable advantage is onboard 600V capability, which removes the need for additional step-up transformers. The company states that direct 600V output reduces project complexity, improves cost-efficiency and lowers potential points of failure. That advantage is particularly relevant where large industrial loads frequently require 600V, it added.
Paul Nascimento, managing director for Canada at Aggreko, said tailoring the company's most advanced generators for Canadian customers underscores the importance of this market. He cited large petrochemical and mining industries that need power across vast, remote territories, along with thriving construction and data centre sectors, as evidence of clear demand for engineered energy solutions that are both powerful and precisely configured. Nascimento said the Canadian Tier 4 Final generators pair current Aggreko technology with hardware tailored to the specific requirements of operating in Canada.
Fleet and service network
With the additions, Aggreko's Canadian fleet ranges from 25 kW to 1,200 kW. Through its Canadian service centres, Aggreko said its energy experts work with customers in data centres, construction, oil and gas, mining and events to deploy temporary power for a variety of applications.
Aggreko describes all three generators as providing industry-leading fuel efficiency, ultra-low emissions and significantly controlled noise levels that surpass local requirements. The company is also positioning the units for Canada's expanding data centre sector. As provincial regulators seek to limit the amount of power data centre operators draw from the grid, Aggreko says its Tier 4 Final generators can provide off-grid energy to keep facilities operating with minimal disruption to communities.
The launch gives Canadian contractors another temporary power option across small, immediate-use canopy sets and large industrial packages, while the 1,200 kW model's integrated 600V output is intended to simplify deployments where that voltage is required.
