Mace Construct will begin trading as Forco after the New Year, the UK contractor has said, as it prepares to adopt a new corporate strategy and productivity targets through 2030.

The company described the new name as short, impactful and easy to pronounce. Mace Construct will keep its current name until the turn of the year, then move to Forco, with the new strategy and productivity targets due to be unveiled alongside the launch. The name was selected for its brevity and clarity.

Name change follows March split

Mace Construct and Mace Consult became separate businesses in March. The agreement allowed Mace Consult to retain the Mace brand, while the construction arm continued under its existing name during the transition.

Executive Chair Mark Reynolds said Mace Construct had spent 35 years raising standards and helping to drive the industry forward. He presented the new name as a sign of the contractor’s commitment to being the UK’s most forward-thinking contractor and its most productive by 2030.

Reynolds also said the rebrand would not alter the culture, values or people that had supported the business. Clients should expect the same teams, the same commitment to delivery and the same drive to create lasting places and infrastructure, according to the company.
